Remcon Fire Detection

The Fire Detection system was developed for the mining industries to meet specific requirements where multiple gasses needs to be monitored at specific locations.

Fire Detection

The system comprises of the following components,

- Interface software (VENT21 or SCADA)
- Level Controller Panel
- Smart Sensor

The system communicates all information via serial modbus over a FSK modem line.

By using the modem technology the system requires only a 4 core power cable for power and communication. This allows for cost saving on cable.

The system is fully modular and can easily be expanded as per requirements.

Technical Components

PC with VENT21 or SCADA
- VENT21 is dedicated Fire Detection software designed to interface with the Remcon Fire Detection System.
- The system can also interface with any SCADA software ie. iFIX, InTouch, Adroit etc.

Level Controller Panel,
This panel is IP55 rated in either
- Stainless steel,
- Mild steel that is powder coated or
- Polycarbonate panels.

The LCP also includes all terminals and wiring.
Battery backup is standard with all panels.

This panel communicates to the sensors.

Smart Sensor
- Input voltage = 24Vdc
- Operating A = < 50mA @ 24Vdc
- Gas Types available (CO, CH4, H2, NO etc.)
